Dear Friends and Family,
As some of you may or may not know, Justin and I have been praying for a baby for two years and have not yet been blessed with one of our own. Right now we are in the process of adopting a newborn and are currently in a contract with “Angel Adoption” www. angeladoptioninc.com. You can click on their link to the right of this page. The Lord opened the door for us to be chosen by this organization and now we are waiting for a birthmother to choose us. (The agency has a 95-98% success rate.) We need to raise approximately $10,000 more for when a birthmother is found and chooses us. We have the potential of being chosen at any time and any stage of a birthmother’s pregnancy, meaning we could get called tomorrow and the baby could be due in a month - or in six months.
After speaking with a friend of mine about her adoption she gave me a great idea for fundraising. Justin and I have purchased a 500 piece puzzle and will be “selling” pieces of that puzzle for $10 each. After each piece is “purchased” we will then write the purchaser’s name on the back of the piece so that when the puzzle is complete and placed in a two-sided frame our child will be able to read the names of the people who gave towards his/her adoption.
We also ask for your prayers for us and the new little one that we hope will soon be part of our family. If you would like to “buy” a puzzle piece (or multiple puzzle pieces) we will be saving the money in a special adoption account. If our contract with this agency should expire unsuccessfully we will continue pursuing adoption wherever the Lord leads. However, if all doors should eventually end up being closed we would like to plan to give our adoption account to ABBA (abbapregnancychoice.org), a crisis pregnancy center with which our church is involved; or, if you choose, we will refund your gift to you. So when you send a gift, please let us know which option you would prefer should that occur.
